Bio

Nicholas Langer is a rising director of photography, cinematographer, video editor, and motion graphic designer with a passion for visual storytelling through compelling video content. He has worked on a diverse variety of projects in his 6+ years of video production experience. Visual storytelling with a mindfulness towards strategic marketing and communications is one of his true passions. There is always an audience to be engaged by the stories you bring to life.

Nick graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication degree in Integrated Media from the School of Media Arts and Studies in the Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University in December of 2020.

He is currently working as a full-time Senior Producer, Marketing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in Cleveland, Ohio. He is also a freelance director of photography, cinematographer, video editor, and technical director.

From February – December 2021, Nicholas Langer worked as a full-time Video Editor in the global marketing department for AmTrust Financial in Cleveland, Ohio. He traveled regularly to produced video and visual content for both internal and external channels as well as paid media spots as part of marketing strategy and campaigns to support business development.

In the Summer of 2019, Nick worked to produce video, web, and social content through the marketing and communications department as the Video Production Intern at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH.

In 2018, he was the Director of Hardwood Heroes Season 9 and Director of the award-winning Season 20 of Gridiron Glory at WOUB-TV in Athens, Ohio. Through freelancing he has had the opportunity to produce promotional video content, operate camera for live and other sporting events, and leverage his knowledge of production for commissioned and client work.

In the Summer of 2018, Nick Langer worked as a live-production camera operator and technical director for RacerTV, based out of Morgantown, WV. There he traveled with technical crews to produce and stream live broadcasts of GNCC races.

Although, he has spent a lot of time and gained invaluable experience with live-production in sports and news settings, he also has a passion for documentary-style storytelling. He believes there is a story to be told almost anywhere, and there is nothing more rewarding than being able to share that story with someone who might not have heard it otherwise. Music is also a large passion for him as well. He continues to seek out opportunities to perform in, work with, or listen to various music artists/ensembles of differing genres.
